I totally agree with Armia. Solid player, and he tended to be clutch when needed. Those games without him showed me how good he really was, because MAN the team missed his energy.
Once everyone is healthy, I can see the Finnish 3 making a solid, dangerous 3rd line. (Lehkonen, Kotkaniemi, and Armia) I know we had hoped for KK to be the #1 centre, but Suzuki is taking that spot, if things progress at the current rate. |

I'm not sure about under rated, but by far the most under appreciated player is Carey Price. Most teams would die to have him as their tender but the Habs fans in this city can't wait to rip him apart the minute he doesn't stop all 40 shots in a 3-1 game. They did it with Koivu, Kovalev, Brisebois, PK, Weber, etc. etc. etc.
The passion is great but the fans in MTL are nuts! haha
hmmmm....this is probably the reason that they have 5-10 players on this list of under-rated players on their team. Not many "stars" want to play in MTL.

I think it's more that the stars don't want to play there (or here) when the team is bad. When they're good, then they put on their pajamas and flock to the place. |

That's why "advanced" stats don't tell the whole picture and never will. The puck goes to die on Lekhonen's stick. He's pretty much a offensive acumen graveyard. Don't care how much 5v5 points he has per 60 minutes. He's a better version of Erik Condra. |

Philip Danault doesn't get enough credit; he and Gallagher do wonderful things together. |

We'll happily take him off your hands Lehkonen and one of your 2nds for Puljujarvi |

Chiarot. He is consistently underrated, and his play seems continues to demand a larger role. |

I don't get the Lehkonen hate
Sure, I'd wish he would score more, but he's an effective penalty kill player, and he kills a lot of opposing team plays in the neutral zone at 5 on 5, and has an irreproachable work ethic.
I think people just have unfair expectations on what he should be offensively.
